The bond between a mother monkey and her newborn is always touching, but sometimes her actions put the tiny baby in uncomfortable situations. One such moment occurred when a mother monkey carried her fragile infant down to the pool. What seemed like an innocent decision for her quickly turned into a struggle for the newborn, who simply could not stand it.
The mother monkey approached the water’s edge, holding her baby close to her chest. For her, the pool was a place to drink, cool off, or even explore. But for the baby, who had only just begun its life outside the womb, the environment was overwhelming. The sound of rippling water and the strange reflections created a sense of fear.
