Thousands of Pumpkins, One Legendary Face — The Record-Breaking Ozzy Osbourne Mosaic That’s Taking Over Halloween

Halloween just got a whole lot heavier — and larger — thanks to an epic tribute to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne that’s now officially in the record books. A massive pumpkin mosaic featuring the Prince of Darkness himself has smashed the Guinness World Record for the largest pumpkin artwork ever created.

Stretching across an area roughly the size of a tennis court, the jaw-dropping display was unveiled at The Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence, New York, just in time for Halloween festivities. The mosaic features Ozzy’s unmistakable face — dark glasses, long hair, and that trademark sneer — all formed from over 5,000 carefully carved and painted pumpkins.

The project was spearheaded by a team of 20 artists and volunteers, who spent nearly two weeks designing, carving, and assembling the massive portrait. Each pumpkin was meticulously placed to match shades and textures, creating an eerie yet stunning likeness of the Black Sabbath frontman.

“We wanted to do something that would blend art, Halloween, and rock ’n’ roll — and no one embodies that spirit better than Ozzy,” said Rick Marino, the creative director behind the project. “He’s the ultimate symbol of spooky fun.”

When representatives from Guinness World Records arrived to verify the mosaic’s dimensions and composition, it officially measured over 1,200 square feet, shattering the previous record for the largest pumpkin-based artwork.

Fans who attended the unveiling were treated not only to the incredible sight but also to a playlist of Ozzy’s greatest hits booming through the fields — including “Crazy Train,” “Iron Man,” and “Bark at the Moon.”

Social media quickly lit up with images and videos of the record-breaking display, with many calling it “the most metal Halloween decoration ever.”

As for Ozzy himself, the rock icon responded on X (formerly Twitter) with his classic wit:

“I’ve been called a lot of things in my life… but a pumpkin masterpiece? That’s a new one. Cheers to the legends who pulled this off!”

Whether you’re a metalhead, a Halloween enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates over-the-top art, this record-breaking tribute proves one thing: even pumpkins bow down to the Prince of Darkness.
